So this is the MP600 Pro best SSD for gaming pc 2021, which is the latest and supposedly the fastest PCIe Gen4 SSD from corsair that promises speeds of up to 7000 megabytes per second, which is the theoretical limit of how fast the Gen4 SSD can be.
Now have a 2 terabyte version of SSD right here that will cost you $435 or euros.
But there's also 1terabyte best ssd for gaming pc 2021 version available for which you will have to set aside $225 which is a lot but it is still in line with most of the competition out there.
So let's make this short and sweet and see how this new drive performs.
And how it compares to the rest of the gel for us as these I tested so far. Let's begin.
MP600 Pro Overview- best SSD for gaming pc
It is a pretty good-looking drive which does matter for some of those bills where it will be visible. Of course, it does ship it with a heat spreader, so it's not an optional extra like in some other cases and I would say it is very important And as done for us as these do get quite hot.
So having heating and some airflow is always a good thing. If you have a custom loop PC or you're planning to build one, of course, it also offers a hydrogen version of this SSD that has a built-in water block which I think is pretty sweet.
In terms of specs, it is a pretty standard drive. It uses three bits of TLC now. Add memory and it comes with a bit of DRAM for faster caching.
Add the drive features, hardware and create And the warranty is pretty typical as well.
I would say it's pretty unlikely Did you were aware I'll just drive within five yours but you know It's always good to have that backup.
Now, this is a Gen4 SSD and to get the most of what this life has to offer it To have a system with PCI Gen4 support.
So an AMD desktop with an X570 or a V550 motherboard or when it comes to Intel systems, the gen four should be supported on the Z 590 and Z 490 boards for the Upcoming 11th Gen CPUs somewhere in the future.
Now naturally you can just use it in any others as well but you won't benefit from the speed. the disk drive has to offer and I will say you're just better off buying a cheaper best SSD for gaming pc 2021.

Did I use the same test rig?
As always with an Asus rog corsair eight hero motherboard AMD ryzen 9 5950x processor with an NZXT crack-in all-in-one cooler 32 gigabytes of 3600 megahertz Corsair Dominator Platinum memory and RTX 3080 GPU and an 850 watts Seasonic Prime titanium power supply.
Sequential Performance
Now starting with sequential reads and writes the MP 600 pro M.2. NVMe SSD does well there.
But it's true in the first place with the Western Digital black sn 850 in pure read speeds and Taking a comfortable win in maximum write speeds.
Now I Don't think these numbers are that important.
Unless all you do is read and write to equally fast storage, so I would say it's not a realistic measurement for most users out there.
PC Mark 10 - Light Use
CMark 10, on the other hand, uses Several different tests that are meant to replicate actual real-world scenarios.
So it's a much more reliable and more meaningful way to look at an SSD. And I would say just really easy to understand as well.
The first one I do is the PC Mark 10 quick test which is a very light test that is meant to replicate all the things we do With our systems that are not that heavy on your best SSD for gaming pc.
You and many everyday tasks are Just handled by the cat. a hash of the drive and most of these testers should be handled by their cache as well.
Now the mp 600 Pro does well here beating the Samsung 980 Pro and ending up just behind the BarraCuda 520.
PC Mark 10 - Heavier Use (OS Drive,Video Editors, etc)
And the Western Digital black sn 850 into full PC Mark 10 suite, which is much more intense stuff that is meant to replicate a more serious active use as an OS drive.
For example. Maybe a scratch drive for your video editing rig. corsair ends up in the third is the head of the most gentle For in Gen3 drives, but it doesn't And then just behind the 980 And the Western Digital black and an age 50 is significant We faster here.

Now PCMark 10 also includes an extremely heavy consistency test.
Now I would say this one is not relevant if you just care About everyday use. If you just care about gaming or video and photo editing.
It is most For that heavy server use and here DSD does drop in the list quite a bit.
So I would say it is not exactly made for this use case and if you need that you should look somewhere else.
Conclusions- SSD for gaming pc
But overall The corsair mp 600 Pro is a very good SSD.
It is about as fast as an SSD can be when you copy its data to it and from it, and it holds up well in benchmarks that are meant to replicate real-world scenarios.
It's a good alternative to drives like the Samsung 980 pro or the Seagate BarraCuda 520.
The Western Digital black sn 850 is probably the main one that kind of stands apart.
But again, the drive does get Very hard so you need to make sure you have enough cooling for that while this one stays complete We find it even if you don't add that additional airflow.
The only way issue right now is the fact Dad for most normal tasks like Making your PC boot faster or loading your games faster.
It's really hard to recommend you spend almost twice as much per gigabyte on this drive as you would on a decent Gen three drive.
