Nvidia Gamers Budget GPU Geforce RTX 3070 Price

RTX 3070 Price - Many of you are happy to see that the RTX 3080 proved to be a great GPU on the side. 

 

This card is probably with even more of you we're looking forward to the GeForce RTX 3070 price.

Geforce GPU RTX 3070 Price | Complete review

 

So this card is supposed to be about as fast as the 2080 Ti from the last generation, which was still selling for over 1200 euros just a month ago, well for this RTX 3070, you will only have to set aside around 500 euros or $500. 

 

And while the 2080 TI was never a great value card, it is a really fast GPU. 

 

So, if this card, ends up delivering that same performance at this price, 

 

It will be a huge step forward for the mid-range game VCs and what's not to love about that. 

 

There are two things that many of you are probably still wondering about. 

 

Now, the first thing is availability which is still a huge problem for the 3080, and it doesn't look like it's getting any better. 

 

So, I honestly have no clue what will happen with the RTX 3070 Price this time around. 

 

I mean NVIDIA maybe just sitting on a ton of 37 teams that are just waiting to be shipped out. 

 

But assuming it's going to be hard to buy this one as well so I don't know I guess we'll have to find out in the next couple of days as this one will be available for purchase on the 29th. 

 

The second thing is that AMD is launching their new cards as well that is expected to compete with this new RTX lineup so I would say the most reasonable thing right now would be to just wait and see how things play out. 

 

But if you can avoid, and you need are you want a new graphics card right now. Let's see what a $500 GeForce GPU will get you this time around.

 

Founders Edition Design

RTX 3070 vs 3080 vs 3090 - Nvidia tried something interesting and different for the 3080 and the 3090, the RTX 3070 has a much more traditional to found design. 

 

It is a lot smaller than the 3080 as well, and it is surprisingly small compared to most modern mid-ranging views.

 

But it is exceptionally well done, build quality and the materials they use are better than on most aftermarket cards.

 

The black silver color scheme is easy to mix with most hardware out there.

 

It is a very subjective thing, but I think it's a great-looking card. 

 

New 12-pin Connector, Connections, Physical Features

 

RTX 3070 Price - Overall, Nvidia sticking with their new 12 pin power cable and include an adapter so you can connect it 2 to 1 eight-pin PCIe power cable on your power supply. 

 

If you have a sonic power supply, or you're planning to buy one, you can request that specific 12 pin cable for your power supply instead, which will be much better for cable management than using Nvidia's little adapter. 

 

Like with the RTX 3080 the default connection layout will be three display ports 1.4 ports and one HDMI 2.1 port. 

 

If you do one more HDMI port, some of the partner cards we'll offer that for you so you can look at doses that in terms of physical features the Founders Edition is pretty basic. 

 

You do get a fenced-off mode and meaning that the fans will stop idle and enlighten us and keep the card nice and silent. 

 

You don't get a dual BIOS here, and you don't get any RGB. 

 

Nvidia RTX Features

 

RTX 3070 Price features - All the core RTX features that were introduced into 3080 present here as well so it has a video reflex to lower the latency in some games in the broadcast to blur or remove the background from your webcam. 

 

There is Gsync to use the variable refresh rate feature on the most modern monitors, and of course, there is Nvidia's ray tracing. 

 

If you want to stream or you want to record your games you also get the same excellent and vegan coder, and that is something that in my opinion AMD needs to improve on if they want streamers and editors to, you know, move away from Nvidia. 

 

Now, all of the above features are present in the entire New RTX lineup, and since I kind of already talked about all these things in my RTX 3080 review.

 

1080p Gaming Performance

 

So, instead of repeating myself here today, I will jump straight into what all you want to know today, how fast is this thing in games. 

 

Now let's start with a 1080p resolution, depending on the game and the settings, you see anywhere between around 10% behind to about 5% ahead of the 2080 Ti averaging about 2% behind it in 10 games overall. 

 

Now, because I don't have a founder's edition card and I use a fast factory overclocked RTX 2080 Ti instead that I do have, I think this result is really good. 

 

It also means it's around 25 to 30%, ahead of the factory overclock RTX 2070 Super at around 50% behind the RTX 3080. 

 

1440p Gaming Performance

 

Moving on to 1440 P which would be the sweet spot for a GPU of this price.

 

And again, all games show a really strong result here, and not just playing games at high graphic settings but also high frame rates, it is again very similar to what it did before, meaning it's a bit behind in some games, but it pulls ahead of the 2080 Ti in others.

 

Now, on average, it ends up being around 3% behind the overclocked RTX 2080 Ti, it pulls ahead of the 2070 Super, even more than on the 1080p showing between 30 to 35% more FPS on average, which I would say is a fantastic job for one generation. 

 

But do note that on higher resolutions the RTX 3080 starts support even further ahead averaging about 25% faster than the RTX 3070 Price. 

 

So, if you can afford one, even for 1440 p gaming, and you can find one to buy. It would be a nice upgrade. 

 

4K Gaming Performance

 

Now when it comes to 4k resolution is again really similar to the RTX 2080 Ti, so it is behind it in some games ahead in others, on average, it's around 5% slower so a bit more of a gap than a lower resolution. 

 

So I would say the conclusion here would be also very similar to the 2080 Ti, it will play most games on a 4k resolution at over 60 FPS, and most of the time with high graphic settings,

 

But there are a couple of games where it's just on the limit, or a bit lower, and you will want to drop the graphic settings a bit.

 

So if you already own a 4k monitor or a TV, and this is just, it just fits your budget, it's still a pretty good experience.

 

but if you're serious about 4k gaming, and you can't afford an RTX 3080 instead they're roughly 30% higher frame rates on average will be worth it.

 

Because it's like I don't talk about other 3070s just yet. I don't want to dive too far into thermals and noise today. 

 

But I do have a couple, and I will do an in-depth comparison between the Founders Edition, and the other cards RTX 3070 Price, 3080, 3090 later this week.

Now the 3070 average is out at 71 degrees Celsius on a test bench, which is a perfectly reasonable result. 

 

It was exceptionally quiet to coming in at 35.7 decibels which is noticeably quieter than the RTX 3080 

 

So you can barely hear it's working at all which is a big change from, you know what we're used to from Nvidia's products in previous years, 

 

Power Consumption, PSU Advice

 

That's not too surprising when we look at the power consumption of this card which I measured at only around 204 watts for gaming, which is slightly under the official TDP spec of 220 watts. 

 

Now since it uses a lot less power than the 3080 there is a lot less heat to deal with as well 

so even a smaller, cooler like this one will have an easy time. 

 

It even uses less power than the RTX 2080 ti to reach the same level of performance. 

 

So a typical 2080 Ti would use around 300 Watts, while the Auris extreme in these benchmarks use closer to 350 watts. 

 

And for that reason alone, I would say that the rtx 3070 price looks much better than the 2080 Ti, overall,  

 

Nvidia does recommend a 650-watt power supply still which isn't bad advice especially if you do have a high-end CPU, and you do want to overclock a little bit, 

 

But it also means that if you have a good quality 550-watt power supply already, you should be completely fine here. 

 

Clock Speeds

 

Now the clock speeds of the SV are looking good, too.

 

It is doing nearly two gigahertz right out of the box which is a bit ahead of my RTX 3080 actually, we'll have to see more 3070s to see how it compares. 

 

But looking at the boost speeds of various 3080 cards, it does suggest that the 3070 founder's edition, yet again behaves very much like a factory overclocked card, and it will probably be very competitive in terms of gaming performance. 

 

Now if all that is true, I'm not allowed to say just yet and you guys will have to wait until the 29th when I compared this founder's edition to other partner cards.

 

Conclusion, 

 

RTX 3070 Price - Nvidia promised us a GPU that's roughly at a 2080 Ti level, but at a much lower price point, and that's pretty much what we got here. 

 

So in my testing, the 3070 ended up only a couple of percent behind the 2080 Ti or is extreme, on average, and that card used to cost more than double. 

 

And it is also an overclocked card that had to draw a ton of extra power to stay ahead so I would say the R TX 3070 looks much better than the 2080 Ti overall. 

 

Who are the RTX 3070 graphic cards for?

 

I will say the real sweet spot of this card is fast Quad HD gaming so you should have considered this card.

 

If you have or you plan on getting a quad HD monitor with a high refresh rate and your current GPU just isn't doing that well. 

 

Now that's where the 3070 will really shine and offer those great frame rates with high graphics settings together.

Technically, it does offer a decent 4k gaming as well but the extra 30% performance, the 3080 has to offer, does make a huge difference and gives you a bit of that headroom for future games as well. 

 

For 1080 P the RTX 3070 Price does great, obviously, but unless you're playing competitive I would say you should probably wait and see how a cheaper 3060 Ti will do instead. 

 

And speaking of waiting, remember that AMD is launching their new GPUs next month. 

 

And while I still doubt that they will be able to challenge Nvidia 3080 or 3090, I will be very disappointed if they don't manage to at least offer some compensation for this $500 price point. 

 

So, if you're not in a rush, it might be worth just waiting a couple of weeks more but, you know, if you really cannot wait and you need a DPO right now.

 

I am pretty confident that this will be a great choice, even a couple of weeks from now, and then especially if you want some of those specific Nvidia features like an encoder, for example, or raytracing, and let's just all hope that there will be actual cards to buy this time around.
